Education and Motivation
Since 2001 we have awarded over $1.5 million in educational grants for the children, spouses, men and women of the Naval Special Warfare. Not only do we focus on their education, we believe that motivation is important in building their future. The Navy SEAL Foundation also provides for command and seasonal family events. Some of these include the Easter Egg Roll, holiday parties, children’s campouts, and children’s sports days.
EDUCATION WITH A FOUNDATION
Each year, the Navy SEAL Foundation awards scholarships to the men, women, children, and spouses of Naval Special Warfare. These scholarship opportunities include one to four-year grants for educational, vocational, and leadership programs.
The Navy SEAL Foundation also supports the active duty beyond our scholarship programs by providing financial assistance to NSW personnel enrolled in the Navy Tuition Assistance program and the Program for Afloat College Education (PACE) for expenses such as books and laboratory fees that are not covered by the Navy.
Additionally, the children of NSW fallen warriors killed in training or combat are helped through our ‘Education with a Foundation’ program. This program provides new computers, every three years, to each surviving child until the completion of their secondary education.
NAVY SEAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
Navy SEAL Foundation Scholarships are offered to dependent children and spouses of active duty SEALs or SWCC (Special Warfare Combatant Crewmen) and other active duty military personnel currently serving in NSW commands. Annual grants will be awarded on merit and academic potential supported by scholastic achievement and a written essay. Navy SEAL Foundation Scholarships are awarded for one year, but qualified applicants may reapply every year.
